Episode #1 "Written in Salt"

Episode 01 Travelling south toward the war that is soon to be fought in the Wehnbrian Marches, the Aenglian mercenary Ealdræd of the Pæga comes across the tiny hamlet of Ceadham in the forests of Merthya. He is looking for nothing more than a roof under which to shelter from the impending storm. As he says to his wary host, all he wants is “a meal, a bed, and a woman”. The meal is excellent and the curvaceous slattern of a serving wench is just as appetising, but when a second visitor arrives that night, a soothsayer from Bvanwey, a god-ridden country of dark-wassail, it is the advent of foul treachery. Violence follows close behind with a cudgel in its fist, until all must end in blood.
