Episode #3 "Witchery in Wehnbria" Part 1

In this first part of a triple-length story we find the soldier for hire, Ealdræd, indulging himself in a grand four day debauch with two tavern wenches so as to spend all his money before signing up as a mercenary in the war that the kingless Lordships of Wehnbria are soon to wage against the coalition army of the Duchy of Oenjil. But what is the sceptical veteran to make of an outbreak of mass witch-burnings and violent social unrest? And how can the Wehnbrian army fight a war when the internecine political divisions in the country have left no one amongst the ruling caste unsuspected of being demonic acolytes of the craft of the dark arts?
