How to Buy the Stories

You can download the Fables of Ealdræd as PDF text files or as audio Mpeg files of the stories being read aloud. Buying items from Alternative Unrealities has been designed to be as simple as possible. You may use a PayPal account or your own credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to make your purchase, and then you will be directed to Return to Seller to download your orrder.

Each episode page of this website has a "Buy Now" icon for that episode. To download pdf files or mpeg files, all you need to do is to click on the "Buy Now" icon next to the item you want and this will take you to the Paypal website.

If you have a Paypal account, then enter your Paypal details. (This means that you will not need to provide us with any personal financial details as PayPal permits you to buy online without the purchaser having to reveal any credit card details to the seller, thereby protecting your privacy.)

If you do not have a PayPal account, then enter your credit card details.

Having paid, you will be directed to a Return to Seller page where the download is available. You will need to confirm your identity by logging in with your email address. This is just to ensure that you get the correct item you have paid for.

Please note that whilst pdf text files are approximately 2Mb and will download fairly rapidly, the readings of the stories require several MP3 audio files per episode (usually about 10 files per episode because each story takes over an hour to read aloud) and so these are very much larger. Each set of MP3 files has been contained within a Zip file to make them smaller but they will still require some time to download.
