How to Buy the Stories

The Fables of Ealdræd are available in two formats. You can download each of the episodes as (1) A short story e-book in the form of a PDF text file or (2) A set of audio MP3 files of the story being read aloud. You can listen to samples of the readings on each of the episode pages of this website to hear what these sound like.

Buying the stories has been designed to be as simple as possible. Each episode page of this website has "Buy Now" buttons for that episode, one button for the pdf version and one button for the audio MP3 version. To download the episode, all you need to do is to click on the "Buy Now" button next to the format you want (text or audio) and this will take you to the highly reputable Paypal website.

If you have a Paypal account, then simply enter your Paypal details. (This means that you will not need to provide us with any personal financial details because PayPal permits you to buy online without the purchaser having to reveal any credit card details to the seller, thereby protecting your privacy.)

If you do not have a PayPal account, then you can pay via Paypal using one of the major credit cards (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc).

Having made your purchase, you will then be directed to "Return to Seller" to actually download your order. You will need to confirm your identity by logging in with your email address. This is just to make sure that you get the correct item that you have just paid for. Click on the download link and your purchase will then download to your computer.

Please note that whilst pdf text files are approximately 2Mb and should download very rapidly, the readings of the stories require several MP3 audio files per episode (usually about 10 or 12 files per episode because each story takes well over an hour to read aloud) and so these are very much larger and will take longer to download.

Each set of MP3 files has been contained within a Winzip file so that they will all download together as a single file. Use the menu command "extract" to take the MP3 files out of the Winzip file.

Happy reading / Happy listening!
